 College Counseling Center
Welcome to the Online College Counseling Center! Here you will find information regarding timing for college applications and information on how to choose a college/university. We aim to facilitate the entry of all students into their desired post-secondary college/university and to help them get a great start on their new life outside of SCCS.

SCCS College Counselor works closely with SCCS secondary students and their parents offering individual consultation regarding university applications. To talk about your college plans, call 353-0808 ext. 133 to make an appointment.

11th Grade Students and Parents: The junior year is the perfect time to start working on a personal college planning profile that includes general goals for college, taking career inventories, choice of majors/minors, preparation of and registration for university entrance examinations, college research, familiarizing with college admission requirements and starting the college application essay and résumé of activities. 11th graders will meet on a regular basis with Dr. Silke Marina Scholer, College Counselor. Parents and students are invited to participate in the Annual SCCS College Night on September 8, 2010, and make a personalized appointment at the SCCS College Counseling Office, in order to discuss the personal college planning profile with the counselor and get information on possibilities to apply for financial aid, academic scholarships and/or athletic as well as community service scholarships. Please don’t hesitate to contact Dr. Scholer at your convenience.
12th grade students and parents: 12th graders participate in the SCCS Career Planning Course. They are to fulfill all college application requirements during the first semester of the senior year and finalize college applications by December 2010. The College Counselor invites all senior parents to personalized meetings on final college application decisions.
