The SCCS high school follows an American-style curriculum that focuses on preparing students for college/university. Twenty-two staff members from countries that include Bolivia , Canada , South Africa , the United States and guide the learning experiences of our 140 students enrolled in grades 9 - 12.

All SCCS high school students are provided with a variety of curriculum choices to ensure that all students receive exposure to different careers and life plans. SCCS has adopted a block schedule where students attend four "Day 1" and four "Day 2" periods of 80 minutes of study. To complement the block schedule, the school has adopted a "Flex" time which is designed for additional student support, study hours, meetings, etc.

SCCS offers a wide array of Advanced Placement (AP) courses that provide our students with the opportunity to earn university equivalent credits during grades 10, 11 and 12. These courses represent our most rigorous curriculum offerings.

The new SCCS Library Media Center (LMC) provides a space for students to read, perform research and access books and media services to further their learning in the classroom. The librarian works collaboratively with teachers to reinforce and support daily instruction.

At SCCS there is a strong commitment to the support of students and their individual needs. Special student support services are available to all students for counseling, career guidance, college counseling, AP coordination, ESL/SSL, and special learning services.

All SCCS students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities to strengthen their interpersonal and leadership skills. Extracurricular activities include: Athletics (volleyball, soccer, basketball, track & field), Cheerleading, NJHS, NHS, Hands Helping Hands, and Yearbook.

SCCS is an official site for ETS, ERB and College Board testing. All students write a myriad of standardized tests that include Iowa Tests, PLAN, PSAT, ACT, ERB (WRAP) and SAT beyond the system of evaluation employed by our professional staff.

Graduates from SCCS receive both an American and a Bolivian High School Diploma.
