Our Curriculum







Diploma Requirements


SCCS is interested in your child's success. Not only are all classes held in English to expand spoken and written English language skills, but we also offer a vigorous curriculum that will enable your child to easily transition into an American university or into other American overseas schools around the world.

SCCS is accredited by SACS as well as the Bolivian Ministry of Education (see SCCS Accreditation) and is therefore able to offer both American and Bolivian High School Diplomas. SCCS also offers Advanced Placement (AP) courses which give your child an opportunity to earn college credits.

To obtain a High School Diploma at SCCS, your child must complete the following credits between 9th and 12th grades:

American Diploma: A "Credit" is defined as the successful completion of 135 hrs of class time or a full-year course.

* History credits must include World History I and II and US History.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bolivian Diploma: A "Class" is defined as the successful completion of 2 semesters of a scheduled 90 minute class or a full-year course.

** Social Studies classes must include World History I and II, Bolivian Social Studies, Anthropology, Philosophy, and Psychology.
