Primary Announcements

  • Elementary Topic for February: Creativity and Individual Talent
  • Early Dismissal: Students will be released from school early at 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 5 due to a Professional Half-Day.
  • Holiday: There will be no school on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 15 & 16 due to the Carnival Holidays.
  • Progress Reports will be issued on Feb. 22.
  • Reminder: There will be a Talent Show on Feb. 23
  • There will be a Jaguar Showcase, Thurs., Feb. 25

Secondary Announcements
  • Reminder: It is your responsibility to check Edline for updates and assignments
  • Library Lunch: The library will be closed during lunch time.
  • Big Savings :The University of South Florida is still accepting applications and has great scholarships for students in Bolivia.  If awarded a scholarship, students can be classified as a Florida resident for tuition purposes!  This is a savings of $40 thousand dollars over 4 years.  Please see Mr. Vande Loo for more details. 
  • 11th Grade students who signed up for the SAT Prep classes need to pay Maritza in the business office by next Thursday February 11th.  It will be $35 for the critical reading/writing section and $35 for the math section. If you are doing both it is $70.

SCCS Yuletide Celebration transforms the Library into a stage for aspiring musicians
The middle and high school music students put on a holiday concert for the SCCS community Dec. 8, 2009. This year, the concert was held in a new location – the Library. In addition to the new location, two new, honorary band members performed. Mr. Taylor Barton, HS English, and Mr. Ryan Kadow, HS Science, added their respective talents on the trumpet and tuba and joined in with the students to perform a series of traditional holiday songs.
